REAL ESTATE • SEATTLE + SURROUNDING AREAS
I help buyers and sellers understand the numbers, evaluate the property and explore their options so they can make the right real estate decision for them.

I spent nearly three decades as a math teacher and school administrator and I’m also a licensed general contractor and Realtor. I bring all three perspectives to real estate, looking at the numbers, asking questions about the property and never losing sight of the people making the decision.
Whether you’re buying, selling, considering a property that needs work, or trying to make sense of an unusual situation, my job isn’t to push you toward an answer. It’s to ask the right questions, explain your options clearly and help you find the path that makes sense for you.
Every real estate decision starts somewhere. Choose what sounds most like your situation,
and I’ll help you understand the options and what comes next.

Understand the process, the numbers, and the property so you can make a confident decision.

Build a thoughtful strategy around your property, your priorities and what the market is telling us.

Explore possibilities beyond the obvious from loan assumptions to seller financing and other transaction structures.

Look beyond finishes to better understand condition, improvements, possibilities and the questions worth asking.

Evaluate opportunities with an analytical eye on the numbers, the property and your longer-term objectives.

When a move comes with more questions than answers, start by understanding your priorities and possible paths forward.
Real estate can come with a lot of moving pieces. My approach is simple: understand what matters, explore the options, and make the next decision with confidence.
We’ll talk about what’s happening, what matters to you, and what you’re trying to accomplish. No assumptions. No pressure.
We’ll look at the numbers, the property, the market, and the factors that could shape your decision.
There’s rarely just one path forward. I’ll help you understand the possibilities, tradeoffs, and questions worth asking.
Once you understand your options, you can make the decision that’s right for you—and I’ll be in your corner as you move through it.
Real estate decisions are personal. Here’s what clients have shared about the experience of having DJ in their corner.
Based in Seattle, I help buyers and sellers navigate real estate decisions throughout the areas I serve in Washington. Whether you’re moving across town or considering what comes next, we’ll start with your goals, your questions and the place you’re trying to get to.

Real estate comes with a lot of questions. That’s normal. Here are a few good places to start.
Earlier than you might think. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we talk. An early conversation gives us time to look at your goals, questions, timing, and options without the pressure of an immediate decision.
I’m based in Seattle and work with buyers and sellers in the surrounding Washington communities I serve. If you’re wondering whether your location is within my service area, just ask. If I’m not the right person geographically, I’ll tell you and help you find someone who is.
I bring several perspectives to the same decision. Nearly three decades in education taught me how to explain complicated information clearly. My general contractor experience helps me look at properties with a construction-aware eye. And my real estate experience brings those perspectives together to help clients understand their options and make informed decisions.
Yes. My general contractor background gives me a practical perspective when we're thinking about a property's condition and potential. I can help you identify questions to ask and considerations to explore, while recognizing when a licensed inspector, contractor, engineer or other specialist should provide the appropriate evaluation.
Sometimes the obvious path isn’t the only one. Depending on the situation, we can explore real estate options such as loan assumptions, seller financing, or alternative transaction structures and discuss the questions and tradeoffs involved. When specialized lending, legal, tax, or financial advice is needed, I’ll encourage you to work with the appropriate professional.
We start with a conversation. I’ll ask questions, listen to what matters to you, and help clarify what you’re trying to accomplish. If working together makes sense, we’ll talk through the next steps. If it doesn’t, that’s okay too. The goal of the first conversation is understanding—not pressure.
READY WHEN YOU ARE
Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, or trying to make sense of a situation that isn’t so straightforward, start with your questions. I’ll help you understand your options and figure out what makes sense from there.
